We must reform our Senate nomination rules now, to stop the stalling precedent that's being created for future Presidents. If this rule change was good enough for Harry Reid & Chuck Schumer in 2013, it should be good enough for today. #GridlockReformhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/powerpost/in-senate-nomination-wars-no-retreat-no-compromise/2018/04/24/7ff7a82a-4801-11e8-9072-f6d4bc32f223_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.894a5b9e53b9 …

It seems there is a very good reason to delay Trump’s nominees. So far his track record on “only the best people” is horrendous. See Pruitt, DeVos, Flynn, and the remaining host of incompetence and corruption.

Did you have this same sentiment when Sen McConnell refused to allow President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee to be considered for whole year? Just curious. I don’t recall you championing any process reform then.

GOP didn't mean the rules applied to THEM, just everyone else. We all know that.

Was it good enough for you in 2013? I seem to recall you voted no. Still struggling with that do unto others thing, I see.

John, maybe the President should be sending qualified and vetted candidates to the Senate to begin with.

Where was this when Obama was President trying to get QUALIFIED people nominated. Now, you want reform so 45 can just keep on adding swamp monsters. People so obviously unqualified the earth trembles, people who spend taxpayer $ on themselves in the millions while you do NOTHING

In 2013 (and hopefully future administrations), nominees were actually vetted and qualified. When syncophancy is the only qualification, delays are the only way to prevent more like Pruitt, DeVos, Carson, Zinke, and everyone who has already quit or been fired. #FederalFumbles

Two wrongs don't make a right! Further polarization of the nomination process is the last thing we need right now. Reinstate the 60 vote rule and fight your way back to bipartisanship in the Senate. Country over party!

Whataboutism live and well in Senate. The question is, "What is the right thing to do?" not, "Let's rationalize a bad act by saying someone did it in the past". You already are confirming enough incompetent people by taking your time.
