I'm a teacher in #Oklahoma and teachers haven't had a raise in TEN years! My check did NOT go up because of increased health care costs!

As an Oklahoma constituent, I find your rhetoric difficult to believe. I am retired, but my husband is not. His monthly federal taxes decreased by $63, but (thanks to you) our medical insurance premiums increased by $130!! A NET LOSS of $67.

Judee - have you forecast your 2018 tax return? It’s likely the extra money in his paycheck will all be owed back, depending on the exact details.
#TaxReform is a scam on the middle class. - 1 more reply

Corporate tax cuts are PERMANENT. But not middle class tax cuts. Know what that means
@SenatorLankford (oh yes you do!): we’re gonna get screwed in the end! But you & your corporate buddies get to laugh all the way to the bank. -
Exactly!

Have you talked to any regular working people not business owners? The big complaint was that it benefited business not workers.

In a state that can’t educate its children or repair the potholes in the highways, you are excited about more cash in the pocket of someone who owns 5 restaurants. Shameful. Ed isn’t an average Okie, James. You know that.

Yet we can pay the Superintendent of Tulsa Public Schools $235,000 a year + $1500.00 a month for car & cell phone allowance + other bonuses. But u won't hear the DEMOCRATS say a word abt that.... EXCEPT... GIVE ME MORE MONEY!
-
No. Democrats say, give that money to the teachers!
-
No, I don't hear them saying that.
-
Your not paying attention to the conversation at the state capital if you don’t hear dems saying we must pay our teachers.
-
Her tweet said, "Give teachers that money". Meaning the money the Superintendent makes. No, I have not heard any Democrats say that. I have not heard any Democrats say she is making way too much money in relation to what our teachers make. Apparently there is plenty of $$.
-
Teachers & admin must all be paid market rates if you want quality folks. Trying to argue any other way is nonsensical. That said, I don’t know market for large urban superintendents. No idea if she is overpaid or not.

Oklahoma has nearly the worst public schools in America. How exactly is this tax break working to improve education?
-
Preach it

it is not OK -
Get it

Median household income for Oklahomans in 2017 was $51,424. Ed’s income must belong in the top 5% of state residents. This tweet is an insult to Oklahomans. Go back to TX. https://data.ok.gov/dataset/median-household-income …

Shoot, I wish I made $57k. 18 years as a state employee and no cost of living increase for most of that.
