There are numerous examples of in-utero surgery of unborn children at 5 months of pregnancy & younger that receive anesthesia... because #TheyFeelPain. Pain-Capable bill isn’t about religion, gov’t control, or anything else. This is about humane treatment & #humanrights.pic.twitter.com/4LEOTCglO3

Could you take time out from your War on Women to update us on the status of the Russian sanctions that y’all mandated be implemented today?

Pretty sure the Executive branch refusing to enact a 98-2 passed law by Congress is the actual definition of a constitutional crisis.

Vast majority of late term abortions are for the life of the mother or baby unviable. This is heartbreaking enough for the families w/out politicians butting in.

It is true. Only 1.3% of abortions occur after 20 weeks according to the CDC. https://www.cdc.gov/reproductivehealth/data_stats/index.htm …

No, it’s about controlling women. It’s about taking away more and more of our rights.

But why does the fetus win over the woman? Why can’t a woman control her own body, of which the fetus is part of??

We have to protect all people. All people have value, worth, and dignity. Fetuses are people. It’s not about controlling bodies; it’s about protecting all life.

But it is about controlling a body. It’s about telling a woman what she can & can’t do with her body. I feel like saying, I’m very pro woman controlling their own bodies. But That doesn’t mean I want abortions to happen, don’t think I could have one, but we all deserve choice.

...but who will speak for those who can’t? Who will consider their rights in their stead? I hear you, but we should be humane, respecting all life.

So what if the Mother's life is in danger? Would you risk your wife's life? Would you let her make that decision? Government should NOT legislate women's bodies OR women's decisions!!!

Hmm, I'll bite. Let's compromise: We make those rare occurrences legal, if we can make all other non life threatening abortions illegal?

I don't happen to be in favor of abortions when there is no medical necessity. However, I also don't feel that it is my right to tell another woman what to do with her body! A 20 week ban with exceptions might make sense.....

There is limited research on fetal pain (per a cursory search on JAMA.) I’ve read that the unborn are often given anesthesia to prevent movement during an invasive procedure. You have no science background and are pushing an agenda. Do better, Senator.

Unless you are medical, you're probably misrepresenting information from JAMA. Also when was that published. 1970's?

2005 is already out of date for all the newer studies out. 5 years is the recommended guidelines to use as up to date medical information.
