The Senate’s confirmation process is getting worse & creating gridlock. The trend is not just bad for the current administration, it’s bad for future Presidents, no matter what Party. We must change our rules & enact #GridlockReform to #MakeCongressWorkAgain. Thanks @FedSocpic.twitter.com/ghHhNZx1LN

You really need to focus your energy on your CONSTITUTIONAL OBLIGATION as a co-equal branch of our government to provide checks and balance on the Executive. Just because “the people elected him” does not allow you to abdicate your responsibilities.

If the GOP doesn’t have the internal fortitude to provide appropriate oversight we must ensure we elect people who will.

The biggest problem right now is a corrupt @POTUS who is in way over his head & a Congress who has forgotten their role as oversight. Don't change the rules, change the leadership.

How about bringing qualified candidates up for nomination instead of unqualified "loyalists". That would help.

Why did you wait to speak up now? Where was your brave voice when Merritt Garland was nominated? Based upon your confirmation of Pruitt, DeVoss, Zinke, Tillerson, Sessions and Pay2Play Mulvaney, it appears you were foolishly hasty!

POTUS is on a lying twitter rant this morning. Maybe worry about that, instead. If Trump can’t tell the truth, you have no business streamlining his nominations.

Don't change the rules, just MAKE POLITICS LESS PARTISAN and more agenda driven. And if partisanship means your agendas are the antithesis of each other- COMPROMISE. It's one of the first abstract concepts we teach our children. Who'd think I'd miss Reagan and Tip.

It would be one thing if you and your party were really interested in vetting candidates. I didn’t see this amount of pushback when McConnell blocked nominees for years.

Maybe Republicans shouldn't have shut down Obama judicial nominations from moving forward in 2016. Who remembers Merrick Garland? #hypocricy

Senator, hold Trump accountable. You took an oath to defend the constitution. The senate should not be defenders of the president but a check to ensure he doesn’t abuse the powers of the presidency.

I know I sound like a broken record, but the delays are happening because of the shockingly poor quality of the nominees. Simple as that.

Whatever, James. That’s not a high priority for me right now. I’d much rather see you and your cohorts call for this president’s resignation. All other actions are seemingly pointless with this administration’s continued defamation of our federal government.
