This same plant was raided in 2007 for the same violations and fined 500,000$. It was sued for $3.7 million in 2017 by the EEOC for workplace safety and labor violations. This time there were children as young as 14 working there. #DickDurbinLies

An American worker would not work overtime for nothing or not report safety violations. because of the fear of being deported. That's why the use undocumented workers! Koch brothers make money off of the vulnerable.

My aunt (is now legal) worked for a factory illegally when she first came to the US. She couldn't take days off or else they would replace her. The work conditions were awful.

Actually I just had a conversation about this with my mom. She worked in a meat processing plant, Detroit, 1960s.Union work, well paid, she liked the job.Americans will do any job if the pay/benefits/working conditions are decent.Immigrants are not the problem, union busting is.

My job as a nurse can be dirty and dangerous. Believe me, if it did not pay well, there would not be enough American Florence Nightingales to staff one big city hospital. We love our work, but we also have to live

when did you start taking Koch money?

Sen. Durbin, have you seen that Koch processing plants have started a job fair and US citizens are lining up to apply?

Illegally entering our country is punishable by deportation. Period. Didn't you take an oath to uphold the US Constitution? Did I miss the a la carte option?
-
For illegals it's not just illegal entry. Add falsifying documents, no doubt perjuring themselves on some legal docs. Probably wire fraud as well. But I guess those laws are only for Americans?
