Congress faces a fundamental question: Do we want to take action to significantly reduce the cost of health insurance for millions of Americans, or are we going to miss this opportunity? (1/2)pic.twitter.com/t6xX3xOXac

If Congress fails to act, insurance rates in individual market will skyrocket. Our proposal will reduce premiums on the exchanges by more than 40% & cover 3.2 million additional Americans. Including our proposal in Omnibus is the right thing to do & urgent that we do it. (2/2)

YOU did this to us. Don't try to pawn the blame off on anyone else. Millions of us are losing access to affordable healthcare, and YOU could have prevented it last fall, but you chose to vote "yes" against all advice and now we're all reaping the predictable results.

@SenatorCollins adding to which, you put yourself on the national stage with your earlier votes in the summer. You had a real chance to stand up and do the right thing. You had it in tour grasp. And you fucked it all up! I have 2 daughters, they will NEVER hear your name.

While this is politically embarrassing for you, think about the millions of us who will lose access to affordable healthcare. You literally gambled w/other people’s lives. Many looked to you to lead, instead u were used.

She knows exactly what she’s doing. McConnell and Ryan agreed to be the bad guys to give her cover to do exactly what she wanted. She wanted to give away millions to wealthiest of her constituents in hopes they gave her some too. It’s the GOP way.

Your proposal will *also* cause rates to jump, according to the CBO. You could have fixed this months ago, but voting to give everyone's money to the rich was more important to you.

We're not buying it, Senator. It's increasingly evident the contempt you have for American voters when you continue to mislead them like this. Figure out how to be bipartisan and prioritize people over megadonors, or Maine will replace you with somebody that will.
