If you are considered too dangerous to fly on a plane, you should not be able to buy a firearm. That’s why I joined w/ @SenatorHeitkamp & 7 other bipartisan senators to introduce our No Fly, No Buy legislation. (1/2)pic.twitter.com/WQqrD8ivWQ

Our bill would prohibit known or suspected terrorists from purchasing firearms. This bill is a sensible step we can take right now to reform our nation’s gun laws while protecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans. So no due process? Who determines if one is "suspected". The same folks who lied to the FISA judges?

Wait. So known terrrorists can walk around freely BUT not buy a gun? What's the point of prison again? Also, what's your definition of a terrorist? Seems to be only people with darker complexion and harder to pronounce names.... Nikolas Cruz is easy to say...

Because it’s patently illegal. Government suspicion is not grounds for deprivation of a constitutional right. All citizens are afforded due process rights.

“Suspected terrorist” is the key here. Just because your name is put on a list doesn’t make you guilty of anything. Think of your straw man you made of the darker complexion, do you think a Mohammed Mohammed should be refused a sale because of his name?

I must have misread. I was thinking they meant known terrorists, which is why I was confused. I didn't realize it was just suspected.

Well, she did say for some reason “known terrorist” so your not wrong. That was Collins mistake, not yours.

Once again ma'am, you need a lesson on the Constitution. A terrorist is not a terrorist until they're convicted in a court of law. Felons are already not allowed to purchase firearms of any kind. So once again, you're advocating the abolition of the 4th amendment. Not a good look

This is another step in the right direction, but we need comprehensive change. Military style weapons should not be available for public consumption!
