(1/3) A “sea of purple” of hundreds of people affected by Alzheimer’s, including many from Maine, was an inspiring sight at today’s @SenateAging hearing and represented the unified effort to end the devastating human and economic toll of Alzheimer’s disease.pic.twitter.com/NcBkfJhHVi

(2/3) We heard from scientists and caregivers, including Dr. Gareth Howell from @jacksonlab in Bar Harbor, who spoke about promising research, & award-winning actress @MGH_8, who discussed her mother’s struggle.pic.twitter.com/4c73cyipTJ

(3/3) I will continue fighting to increase research funding to one day find a cure. Bipartisan legislation, like my #BOLDAlzheimersAct, is also needed to ensure those living with the disease and those caring for them have the support they need.

People with ME/CFS are the Alzheimer's patients of tomorrow. If research into ME were amped up, it would have profound implications for MS, Alzheimer's, Autism, etc. For example, look at the Open Medicine Advisory Board. We have the best scientists; We just need the funding.

trump is trying to reve-up the base because of the election. Congress had a chance to take action and confront trump, call his policy what it is, inhumane. Congress failed the American people and their values, perpetuating trumps slide towards a Nazi type approach.

You strategically tossed out "bipartisan" again to try to cultivate your moderate image. But when it counts, ...Feinstein bill or healthcare, where's your bipartisanship? Senator, children need you.

All good stuff Susan but until you do something to stop the vile conduct of this administration, we are no longer listening to you. This is not just one more issue for you to put out a statement in and then move on!

As a nurse I know the importance of fighting Alzheimer’s. I also know we need to stop separating babies from their moms. Do something.

I’m sorry, senator. After watching you since January 2017, the last thing I expect to see you do is ‘fight’. Maybe write a letter, though.

My mother in law has Alzheimer’s. Great cause. But you have abandoned all moral principals in refusing to do something about our government’s inhumane immigration policy. Tweets and letters worthless. These families are suffering irreparable harm. DO SOMETHING! Now!
