Independent contractors are a way to employ undocumented workers, break unions, and avoid paying benefits. Sounds like a good thing to control and monitor.

That has nothing to do with what he is talking about. There won't BE any small biz if ProAct is passed. D and R voters are against it. The D politicians are only FOR it because union money funds their campaigns. Which is the only reason R's are the pillar of sanity against.

And if you're a truly decent employer, your employees won't likely vote to unionize, and you as an employer won't be worried about union representation in any size company. Someone trying to balance the books on the backs of cheap labor will never get this.
