As someone who worked in the steel industry this is actually a good deal that supports American steel workers and keeps China from dumping millions of pounds of cheap steel in US ports.

Steelworker here. What actually happened was that the so-called businessmen running American steel plants got complacent and refused to reinvest in facilities, equipment, and labor. Speaking of labor, y'all trashed the unions which diluted skilled workers, and now you're crying.
