Maureen and I just learned of the tragedy in Indianapolis when we woke up. Our hearts are mourning for the individuals who’ve senselessly lost their lives, all of their loved ones, and their co-workers at FedEx who will be dealing with this tragedy for a long time to come.
Thank you to the members of law enforcement who put their lives on the line and responded heroically to this situation.

Pass gun safety laws to reduce these shooting and to protect our law enforcement who deal with gun violence on a daily basis. Time to have sensible gun control laws and reduce the number of guns on our streets.

And special acknowledgement to politicians like Braun who work to guarantee the right of every American to own deadly weapons of war. What's the next 2nd Amendment cause? The right to own antitank guns, surface-to-air missiles? Or, maybe Elon Musk's right to build his own H-bomb?

Will you ever do anything to actually help prevent these mass shootings? At this point, I think we’re beyond thoughts and prayers.
