“Competition” What are the handicaps in the competitions of private vs. public schools?
I served on a school board for 10 years, and I cannot support Dr. Cardona as Secretary of Ed. because I believe in school choice. Competition is the key to innovation: when parents have more choices and students have more opportunities, our education system is stronger.

90 % of students attend public schools. Public schools and the teachers need priority over private schools. My tax dollars should not be funding private schools.

School choice is robbing our public schools. Hurts the majority of low income students.

And let me just say: 2/3 of my kids go to a private school bc of our state voucher program. Our district public school has been deserted by everyone who can drive their kid to a private or county school. Schools being consolidated, increased class size, no money.
