Then maybe we should consider which business ventures are getting large, soon forgiven loans without doing anything beyond lining their own pockets. Current Hoosiers may not have lived through the WPA and the CCC, but we, the people, still benefit from those public projects.

Maybe then senator we shouldn’t have given trillions of dollars in tax cuts to wealthy people who didn’t need them. Rather, maybe we should’ve invested that money and making peoples life better.

This started when Reagan stuck Gen-X with his tax cuts. Claiming that trickle down economics would pay for itself. Even as a young teen at the time, I knew it was BS. Taxing the top earners at a much higher rate, and lowering it for working class would have kept the debt down.

The top taxpayers only invest the money taking it out of circulation. While those at lower tax brackets will spend their money and keep the economy going. It's the working class that drives the economy. Give them more money, and they'll spend it.
