Senator I do not know people who can pay 2/3 of their mortgage or the rent or their car payment. 2/3 of income does not help, and an unsafe workplace is not a good solution either. If we want to reopen the economy we have to fix the virus.

Guys like these senators don’t really care if we can pay our mortgage/ rent. Their goal in seeking election, was to serve their own best goals..it was NEVER public service. The Hoosier,for a freshman senator especially, is an ambitious media seeker. Always.

Id love to see congress & the pres even make a fake budget for the month on that. Oh, and don't forget that you need to withhold taxes from that amt too. So quite a bit less. Id love to see how they afford a dinner out or presents. Or fully being able to feed their fam all month.

The problem is that $600 is worth more in certain parts of the USA than others. It is a lot in Indiana/Midwest and not so much on the East/West coast or any large city anywhere.

Its still not that much in Indiana. Especially with how low our unemployment is. I have a friend working 40hr job at $16/hr. She makes $92 a week in unemployment. Mines a bit higher, but depends on what parts of the year are considered.
