We expect undertrained and underpaid police officers to respond to every possible emergency that a human being can face. Defunding the police in favor of funding other agencies that are better equipped to handle some of those emergencies isn't an insult to the police!

It's a helping hand to them and to the American public. Let qualified people deal with emergencies that involve mental health, wellness checks, and other non criminal issues.

Who needs immunity if they’re acting legally? Isn’t that already how a society with equally enforced laws works? Qualified immunity isn’t necessary if cops aren’t breaking laws. Otherwise they wouldn’t need to be “immune”, right?
