You could argue that consumers can not afford medically necessary prescription drugs, giving them nearly literal skin in the game. How much more skin should patients have in this game?

Senator we really don’t need to do any of that. Just give us the same insurance that Congress gets. That would work for most people. Now if anyone wants they can pay for different insurance. Any changes to your insurance will go to us ASAP.

Most people don't even know the language or words to use to negotiate their complicated diagnosis - especially while ill. Healthcare is not like other consumables - way more complicated than buying a car or TV!
