Awesome. End the ins benefits too. In fact, end incentive payments we pay to health ins. carriers for merely processing med claims timely for Fed workers under FEP & probably Congress' version of Obamacare plans. Millions monthly.

The pension plan is to keep Congress from having to worry about conflicts of interest in investing while serving. You're just trying to make it harder for non rich candidates to serve in office. I think you have it wrong Mike.

Ok...your reply makes absolutely no sense. Taxpayers are supposed to pay these people a boatload of money AFTER they leave office to avoid a conflict of interest while they’re serving? And I think it would encourage more honest people to run if it were less profitable to do so.

Great! Median income is $59,000/yr and median savings is $11,700. Braun and Scott get to go first and give up their wealth and income so they're both living off median income & savings, like most Americans. That will prevent the buying of Senate seats like Braun and Scott did.
