  Great! Median income is $59,000/yr and median savings is $11,700. Braun and Scott get to go first and give up their wealth and income so they're both living off median income & savings, like most Americans. That will prevent the buying of Senate seats like Braun and Scott did.

  Guy who's worth millions says "don't pay Congress during shutdowns" "get rid of Congressional pensions". It must be nice to be rich enough to want to vote away your own salary and pension because they're mere pocket change to you anyway.

  As an alternative I suggest Senators and members of Congress who have private holding which earn them over $500,000 a year, waive/ not take their government salaries.
