What part of "The United States does not negotiate with terrorist" do you not understand? Trump is holding 800k people's pay checks hostage. do your job, vote for a clean bill then negotiate on a new border security bill. How fing hard is that for you to understand?

Your actions are incredibly disappointing. You are being disingenuous in your transparent support of Trump's and McConnell's shutdown. You are not serving nor representing your constituents' will.

Why did the trump proposal get fewer supporting votes than the clean CR? Hardly seems that Democrats are to blame for that. You should have listened to us.

The senate already passed the house bill 100-0 before Trump through a tantrum and McConnell fell in line.

That's odd. The shutdown started when Republicans had control of the House, Senate, and Executive branch. Why are Dems responsible for cleaning up your party's mess?

Agree that deals are achieved through compromise, unfortunately THE WORLD will have to wait for Mitch McConnell, Donald Trump & his sycophants to put partisan politics aside and come to the table. Did YOU vote for the Dems proposal? if not, then YOU are "playing politics"

In your family business, you didn’t have to compromise with your employees. You didn’t have to compromise in the IN House of Representatives b/c your party had a super majority. But as a US Senator w/o a republican supermajority you’ll have to learn to compromise. Try to keep up.

Why didn't vote for the clean bill to reopen the government? The compromise and negotiation can't happen until AFTER the government is open.
