That is what 55 of the largest corporations paid in taxes last year — less than every teacher, nurse, and firefighter in America.
Our bill ends that by creating a minimum corporate tax so that the biggest businesses finally pay their fair share.

The U.S. tax code is somewhere around 80,000 pages long. The Congress has made tax lawyers rich figuring out how to pay as little as possible. Adding more pages doesn’t simplify anything….

So, if you raise the rate from 21% to 28%, they will still pay zero. But all your constituents will continue to pay increasing taxes, inflation will also get us. That 3.5T is NOT paid for….. oh, news flash, another migrant train is heading this way! What! Don’t care!? Wow!!

End or modify the filibuster, then you might be able to actually do something about it

I support the minimum corporate tax, but would expand covered corps to S&P 500. Use added revenue to reduce community college costs for students in need. Please change filibuster! No carve outs, just eliminate 60% cloture vote, replace with limits on debate time/speakers.

This gets me thinking about tax treaties . My research shows the Competent Authorities determine taxation. So, if our corporations are using China, Taiwan, etc. for lower per capita employment costs, then where can we negotiate internationally? ( )

Thanks for being a senator I can depend on to do the right thing. But can you scream in Biden's ear that we need voting rights and fair elections secured or all is for nought?
