Earlier this week, I introduced an aggressive proposal to put cash in the pockets of Americans.
This is not the time to be timid. We must act decisively to help our fellow Americans and save our economy from further damage.
The details of our plan:
✅$2,000 now for every adult and child
✅$1,500 if the government certifies we're still in a public health and economic crisis OR unemployment in June is 1% higher than it was before the pandemic
✅$1,000 every quarter until those conditions change
But this is only the beginning of what must be a robust response to this pandemic.
We also need to improve unemployment benefits, provide food and necessities to the most vulnerable, and support state and local governments through this trying time.
Patients of painful illnesses REALY NEED HELP! #colorado keeps reducing allowed #pain medications below amounts they can endure. Politicians are doing it for optics- won’t separate stats- feds admitted to using false stats & PR firm to make it appear sick people are the problem.
In #Colorado the chronically ill & #disabled are victims of politicians. Being inhumanely sacrificed for politics is criminal & will go down in history like past medical experiments on people without consent, anesthesia, ethics. Politicians shouldn’t be dictating #pain medicine.
Could you do your part & speak up for chronically ill Coloradoans who keep having their pain medications reduced? Had lives ruined years ago & fight to stay alive while you & others are talking about a short term setback. Sick people dont dispense their meds.Tortured for politics
And address #affordablehousing !especially for folks of low-wealth and low-income! For them $ will be depleted by rent costs (those who typically pay half of their income to avoid homelessness)! The poorest folks must be first priority as
The points on Rep Waters plan ALL help. Not just additional income to all, but pause on cc payments, loan payments, rent payments. Allow us to stay home (or work if we have to) without worrying about financial stressors.
