MAKE #ASIANCARP A NATURAL RESOURCE! Catch & A) eat 'em B) turn 'em into pet food C) Turn 'em into fertilizer, D) Flash freeze & sell 'em to #China. WHY'S IT SO HARD TO DO THESE THINGS!? It's not #rocketScience. Recall: Chinese character for "crisis" is same as 1 for "opportunity"

Closing the Brandon Lock is, by far, the cheapest and most effective solution to stop Asian carp. The Corps chose a less effective, more expensive solution just to placate the shipping industry, which only stays afloat due to massive taxpayer subsidies.

We should look after our public waters for the benefit of the public that pays for them. Shipping routes will adjust. There are other modes of transportation. The Great Lakes are a unique, priceless treasure that can support the entire region in perpetuity. Let's protect them.

Closing the Brandon lock is the most effective, least expensive, quickest way to stop Asian Carp So why isn’t that the plan? Hint: even though you (the public) pays the bill to manage our rivers, someone else profits and calls the shots *whispers* It’s the navigation industry
