I am a 70 year old middle income retiree. Taking away my deductions for state and local taxes, charitable deductions, possible medical cost deductions in return for a couple thousand dollars more in the standard deduction is a disaster for me. This plan is for the wealthy.

Because I have a 401K and a 403b, I benefit from this so called loophole. I make less the $68,000 a year. Why are you trying to take money out of my pocket? You are a multi millionaire. And a Senator, with immunity from insider trading, do you dispute these facts?
