if we were like other countries, disability coverage would be like unemployment where you pay for it with taxes.

state mandated STD already exists in 5 states, some are ER paid and some are split. Covers more then just maternity leave

We all pay taxes for things we might not use. I'm done having kids but I'm still happy to help pay for mandatory paid leave.
