That’s why I worked to pass a bipartisan reform with @LisaMurkowski that would help identify areas that are lacking OB-GYNs and work to send maternity health care professionals to those areas to serve women in need. I was proud to see @POTUS sign my reform into law last year.

Most who live in those areas do because the cost of living is cheaper. Bringing all the services that are available in heavy populated areas will continue to eliminate the advantages of the rural lifestyle. Not everyone wants city living

I hope Congress moves forward with a nationalized health insurance initiative; but IMO, we need legislation now requiring every health insurance policy grant access to teaching hospitals. Expertise is crucial for successful recon surgery.
