3 yrs ago, my husband was diagnosed w stage 4c Head/Neck cancer. His soft palate was quickly disintegrating. In order to begin chemo/radiation, he needed extensive oral surgery first. Insurance declined: deemed “Cosmetic.” Treatment delayed.

Compassionate Drs & nurses go to 3rd world countries to provide surgery for those with congenital issues. Why is US govt not compassionate enough to have such programs here ?
