20 years working for federal government. Received back pay several time but never interest. They will be eligible for pay but highly unlikely they will be paid interest.

Sue - federal employees should get their back pay regardless. If you’ll notice, Democrats don’t have a majority in the senate, only the house. Your bitterness should be directed towards the representatives in the house, as they fund the government.
