.@USDA must be open for business to support our farmers. The House has done their job and passed bipartisan legislation to fund the government. @Senatemajldr needs to stop obstructing a Senate vote to end the Trump shutdown and reopen the government.

Thank you, Senator. It makes no sense to keep workers from doing their jobs when they're going to eventually get paid. The only people pained & feeling desperate by this are gov't workers who can't pay bills & gov't contracts (who will not get paid even after #TrumpShutdown ends.
Also hurt and pained by this are those who depend on gov't services to get the assistance they need--farmers, retirees, children, those waiting for a tax refund, & all citizens who have to trust that the food they eat is safe without inspectors working & checking out food supply.
These are the same people who supported Trump putting tariffs on different products. My God stand up and stop agreeing with Trump on all his crazy ideas.
