I have long championed efforts to allow Medicare to negotiate directly with pharmaceutical corporations to get better prices on lifesaving medicines instead of increasing drug company profits. This bill is a step in the right direction to lower drug costs for #WI seniors.
We have a broken system in Washington that prohibits the federal government from negotiating lower prescription drug prices for older Wisconsinites. This legislation is a critical reform that will help safeguard the Medicare program and keep our promises to seniors and taxpayers.
Let’s open the govt first. The senate has the votes to override any veto. Why can’t the legislation be voted on?

DIR fees and rebates on Brand Name drugs to #PBM companies are the real issues; make those two things illegal and drug prices will drop! Patients will be able to get medications at their pharmacy of choice and drs. can prescribe the least expensive medications.
A good start would be not having CVS Caremark set prices 4 Medicare! I shouldn’t have to look on GoodRx or any other website to find a better price than my insurance. As a taxpayer, I resent that. The reduced price coupons offered by pharm cos. can’t be used 4 Medicare.
