stock buybacks are not the source of the problem here. Lack of innovation within their product. You can’t employ people to build something that no one wants. Don’t complicate the issues.

Closures are due to models being made at those plants not selling well. And the corporate rate was unseasonably high before. It would be ridiculous to have strings attached to reducing that rate. There are tax code Changes that were left out of the bull that could fix this.

I don’t believe capitalism has any room for what the workers deserve... Buying back stock, closing unprofitable plants, outsourcing production to countries where labor is less expensive is capitalism at its best. Change the law. Change the tax code.
