Schools should be places where children can learn, and faculty and staff can work, without fear of violence. My colleagues from Florida will carry home the prayers of the whole Senate, for victims and their families, for the community of Parkland, and for the first responders.

If moms are worried about losing their children then they should watch their children and make sure they don’t have access to guns there should be no guns that are not locked up in a house

This is a purposely irrelevant comment. This school shooting had nothing to do with guns not being stored properly and everything to do with assault rifles not being sold properly, as in should not be sold at all except to military and possibly law enforcement.

Capital* Guns aren’t allowed in schools either. Maybe part of the issue is security. Or maybe it’s the FBI, since they didn’t properly follow up a tip about Cruz LAST MONTH.
