Expanding the BQE to 3 lanes is not an option. Full stop.

It needs to be 3 levels of 6 lanes in each direction. Feel free to add a bike lane/two, if needed.
A roadway of this magnitude is only befitting for a city as great as New York. For far too long, the people of New York have suffered with this mickey mouse excuse for a highway.

BQE is a major transportation artery that is used to move goods and people. It is ridiculous to pretend that reducing the number of lanes will reduce the traffic on this road. Sending more traffic onto local streets is result! EVs are coming and will reduce noise & pollution.

It's not expanding to 3 lanes, it is only restoring to 3, as it has been for decades. Full Stop.

😡 I commute to work every day on the BQE & as soon as it decreased to 2 lanes my commute increased by 30 minutes; Cars idling longer is NOT better for the environment!
