It was brilliant. Thank you, Sen. Warren!

It really wasn't. It was petty.

Republicans are voting to end the Republic. A vote not to hold Trump accountable for election interference is a vote to end free and fair elections. A vote not to call witnesses is an admission that Republicans would not be in power now without Putin's assistance.

I swear I think Putin and Trump set this all up yrs ago. Been very suspicious

How does it reflect poorly on Roberts or the Court if the GOP votes not to call witnesses? He can't do anything about it.
-
Trump seems to have no trouble using all of his power and beyond and he is unstoppable. There are no guidelines on what the chief justice can do. It would be well within his power to call witnesses.https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/27/opinion/john-roberts-impeachment-witnesses.html …

Well all you have to do is "work across the aisle" and get 3 Republicans to vote yes. Can you do that? If not you how would you do that as president? Probably couldn't.
-
If Mitch McConnell remains in the Senate, there will be no working across the aisle. There will be nothing but piles of no and unqualified judges. I think his 35+ years should be up. How about it, Kentucky? Do us a solid.

It appeared from Chief Justice’s body language that he appreciated the question- good job
@SenWarren -
But will Chief Justice agree to stop being a potted plant and actually enforce fair trial requirements like subpoenaed enforced and witnesses called?
