Federal TEACH Grants help students pay for college if they plan to become a teacher in a high-need field, like science or math, in a low-income school. Objectively, this sounds great.

It’s unfair to treat people like this. Minor administrative mistakes like missing a paperwork deadline should not yield catastrophic financial nightmares for our teachers and make them worry about their futures as they tirelessly work to prepare our kids for their lives.

That's great. My kids' school in Forest Lake is having its last day ever tomorrow. When will the state start paying for education at a rate that makes up for all the years of underfunding? Or will their next school have to close too?
