Every citizen has an ID. That ID should be provided before the citizen votes. End of story.

We should have voter ID
-
"voter ID" laws in the USA are deliberately designed as tools for voter suppression. They serve no other purpose. Don't fall for the con the politicians promoting them are running. And don't mansplain the law to Senator Smith.
-
Who are these people in America that don’t have or not capable of getting an ID? Why is needing an ID to vote “suppression”? Seems like common sense
-
"voter ID" laws in the USA are deliberately designed to suppress votes by imposing additional costs to voting: The cost in money of a new ID, the cost in money & time of getting to the place were the new ID was issued. Poll taxes are illegal. Don't try to defend them.
-
Examples: Alabama. State GOP politicians enacted a "voter ID" law that required many people to get new IDs at DMV offices to vote. Then they closed the DMV offices in those counties where most voters are black. Racist & partisan voter suppression: https://www.rawstory.com/2015/10/alabama-to-stop-issuing-drivers-licenses-in-counties-with-75-black-registered-voters/ ….
-
Texas. State GOP enacted a "voter ID" law that allowed gun permits as voter ID but explicitly excluded U. Texas student IDs. Gun owners are older, whiter, and more likely to vote for the GOP than U. Texas students. Racist & partisan voter suppression: http://time.com/3093720/texas-voter-id-law-students-lawsuit/ ….
-
Wisconsin. State GOP enacted a "voter ID" law that suppressed 200,000 votes in the 2016 election - disproportionately POC. Racist & partisan voter suppression: https://www.thenation.com/article/wisconsins-voter-id-law-suppressed-200000-votes-trump-won-by-23000/ …. Again: Don't fall for the con and don't try to defend voter suppression.

APPOINTED SENATOR - Just saw you election add where you ask people what keeps them up at night? My answer is having you as an APPOINTED SENATOR. You are beyond inept and pathetic as well. Voter ID is the answer.

So your candidacy is based on fear? Nice.
-
@SenTinaSmith's candidacy is based upon _protecting civil rights_. Such as the right to vote and the right to healthcare.
