Then why does it seem like you are representing corporate copper sulfide mining interests ahead of the interests & values of ordinary Minnesotans that don't want to jeopardize the Boundary Waters for the sake of foreign mining corporations & jobs automated for mining robots?

Polymet is not in the BWCA. You’re confusing them with Twin Metals, an entirely different project.
-
Water flows. It moves and contaminates everything in its path. Underground and bubbles up. Watershed.
-
Not supporting Polymet in any way. The ongoing permitting process is our unfortunate reality. The best case is it we insist on applying rigorous environmental standards & it does not move forward. You are preaching to the choir.
-
Got it. I hear yeah. It's been a dark cloud on us for years. Watching trump the environmental regs tossed overboard for mining and benefit glencor and destroy mn. We can deny the permits. The science says risk too great

One way to represent voters is to participate in debates before an election.pic.twitter.com/MQAcIBeDxI

I could not agree more
@SenTinaSmith! Voters are sick and tired of special interests purchasing our elected officials via PAC money. And yet, here you are ... accepting PAC money:pic.twitter.com/DqQLtf1fOt

Meanwhile your opponent
@RWPMinnesota refuses to accept PAC money.@SenTinaSmith your campaign is nothing less than the height of hypocrisy.pic.twitter.com/WMyQHsLbgt

Did you even look at who she's accepted money from? There's no reason for her to not be proud of the money she accepted. She's being backed by groups that align with the beliefs she represents and that we want her fighting for. There's no sinister NRA-type groups.
-
Did I "even?"
@SenTinaSmith's own message is that PAC money does not belong in politics, and yet here she is, accepting PAC money. PACs are poison, in and of themselves. Until everyone understands that, the PACs with the most $ will continue to own and rule this country.

WHY DIDN'T YOU SHOW UP FOR THE DEBATE? Too cowardly to answer to the public for what you have done?
@RWPMinnesota is the candidate who truly cares about democracy and representing all of the people of Minnestota. -
Because she's working in Congress--voting against Trump's egregious appointments, sponsoring/co-sponsoring legislation to help Minnesotans. She'll be at the FarmFest hosted debate on 8/7.

If you really believe American voters have the power in our elections, why are you still fighting the election of Donald Trump?

Thank you Sen. Smith for all you're doing. You are listening and introducing legislation that will actually help people. Your commitment to that is long-standing not only as Lt. Gov but in all your previous work w/the DFL party and other elected officials.
