We let them steal a Supreme Court seat.

A pal of mine earlier tonight was trying to convince me the Dems were out-maneuvered by McTurtle & Co. That "changing the rules" to prevent President Obama's nominee was perfectly "legal." I thought they said denying the prez was unconstitutional. If so Garland should be in!

I guess those who voted for the ban need to re-read our Constitution.
#NoMuslimBanEver -
No one voted for the Muslim Ban. Only Trump promised this, no other candidate. So when people voted, the Electoral College chose Trump. Hillary won the popular vote by almost 3,000,000 votes. Trump appoints "Yes" man to Supreme Court. They voted. That's how we got the Muslim Ban.
-
The Republicans in Congress are complicit in stealing a SCOTUS seat.

You make a populace statement yet forget your office is responsible for protecting national security! The people from these countries can worship as they wish but cannot migrate their terroist across our borders. We are not trying to abolish Muslims right to worship!
-
The people that are killing Americans are white terrorists from right here in America! We hear nothing about these white terrorists but hear about bans on browns! There is something wrong here, and it spells RACIST!!!

Funny, we used to use the saying “dead eyes” as a kind of code meaning to avoid so & so. She creeps me out.

That's because you are a good judge of people.

I wouldn't refer to our founding principles too much. Our founding principles also said slavery was okay, women couldn't vote, and currency based on the gold standard. Is that the spirit your looking for?
-
Those were not founding principles, but wrong compromises the founders made to accomplish their main goal of forming a new nation. Compromise between opposing parties is the way the country has always moved forward...slowly but surely...until lately.
