If we want to get to work on rebuilding our roads and bridges and modernizing our schools, hospitals, and housing, then we need the federal government to make real and meaningful investments.

This bill includes many housing initiatives that I have supported, like HOME, CDBG, and NeighborWorks. This bill sustains past investments in affordable housing—something that’s sorely needed in Minnesota and across the country.

The bill also approves $1 billion for the TIGER program—or what’s now called BUILD—and $2.55 billion for Capital Investment Grants, both of which will help communities improve and strengthen the safety and reliability of Minnesota’s transportation infrastructure.
