That’s why I’m urging @BetsyDevosED to take action to help teachers whose TEACH Grants were unfairly converted to loans. https://www.mprnews.org/story/2018/03/28/npr-teachers-lose-grants-forced-to-repay-loans …)

Teachers shouldn’t unfairly have their grants switch to loans because of minor paperwork errors. https://www.smith.senate.gov/content/senator-tina-smith-calls-answers-and-action-secretary-devos-after-teachers-forced-foot-bill …

Are you saying the were converted during those years or they have been retroactively converted?

Retroactively converted.

Really? Were there contracts signed at time of grant given? If so, grant recipient needs to sue for breach of contract.

Thanks. This screams class action suit to me. Not sure a govt agency can get a nonsueable label against past actions. Supreme court level law right there. I'm willing to help any NY teacher that wants it. (I'm an attorney).
