Pancreatic cancer is the #3 cause of cancer-related death in the U.S., and there is no effective early detection screening tool, 71% of patients die within one year of diagnosis. Today, I'm wearing purple for World Pancreatic Cancer Day. #PANCaware #WPCDpic.twitter.com/gFt7NRWXwT

And in honor of all the victims (my brother) you are going to take healthcare from the poorest of us. Thx.

You don’t get to fight to take healthcare from people and then claim credit for caring about people with cancer. #ncpol

It's BARELY even purple. Look, gestures are great, but they are literally nothing but a slap in the face if you vote for this tax bill, which will hurt people with pancreatic cancer, bottom line.

Then maybe don't vote for a tax bill that will cut 25 billion dollars from medicare next year, that money could go towards providing care to those with pancreatic cancer.

I applaud you bringing this to the public attention. I am confused as to why you want to take health care away from those suffering from this. Explain

And you will vote to take away healthcare from millions just to get a tax cut for the wealthy?

Unbearably disingenuous to wear purple for World Pancreatic Cancer Day and then vote to make it easier for people to become uninsured. #LifeMatters - even after birth. @GOP loves #WealthCare, not #healthcare.

I'm glad you are choosing to stand up and speak for those that are in need. How are you explaining to families and patients what is going to happen to them when they can no longer deduct out-of-pocket medical expenses? #voteinNC #voteeveryyear

Thanks for showing support to those who suffer. But I’m still planning on voting for your opponent in 2020 because of the chasm that you’ve created between your words and legislative actions.

Stop trying to take away cancer patient's health insurance. They'd probably appreciate that more than a purple tie.

As long as you have your taxpayer funded care, you don't really care about anyone else's health issues, as evidenced by your voting record. #gimmeabreak

Given the level of subsidies in much of Obamacare, I'd say most of us are on taxpayer funded care.

Just pointing out that they aren’t the only ones getting subsidized but I believe they should have the same plan they foisted on us. It would be repealed within 48 hours.

Agreed. I agree the ACA is a bandaid, but it's the only one we have.
