While the President’s executive order was a necessary step, Congress still needs to take action to make our laws clear and consistent so children are not separated from their families in the future. The legislation I just introduced with my colleagues prevents family separation.

No - not excerpts. I would like to see a copy of the full text. Not just what you decided to advertise on your propaganda web site. Not that I don't trust you - but I don't trust you.

Where is the draft bill? Talking points and quotes don’t tell us what is in the bill.
-
Link to text of the bill is at the very bottom of the article. Conveniently after all the R spin.
My take: This bill (no # listed on the copy I saw) favors family detention; S3036 cites that detention is tramautic to children & advocates for less restrictive environment. -
Thanks. If McConnell, Cruz and others signed off I'll bet my savings it is not good for the people.

Start by reuniting the ones currently separated before congratulating yourself. Those children are suffering NOW while you grandstand.

Why the is Wall funding a part of keeping families together? For ONCE can you guys just solve a SPECIFIC problem without creating 10 more? Grow a spine, and a pair. Stop running for re-election and govern!!!

I also heard mention of bipartisanship? Why is it then that none of the people quoted in your summary are Democrat? Where they approached in the legislative process?....
