Tonight I will vote to advance legislation that protects children by banning elective abortions after 20 weeks (5 months), an age at which babies have the potential to thrive and live normal lives. I urge my colleagues to pass this and choose life. #TheyFeelPain

How come it is always "too soon" to protect the kids affected by gun violence? Why don't these kids matter more than gun money?pic.twitter.com/hl5DuU9r4N

Yes old man. Make rules for a game you haven't played in 30 years. But remember there are reasons why women have safe and legal abortions and are making a much larger decision than you have. As an Alabamian, I encourage you to vote NO!

I would believe you if you showed the same concerns about 18+ YO military members. Selective pro-life is a lie. In this case it is worse than a @GOP lie since you’ve taken away their healthcare & family support!

That’s great and all, but maybe next time don’t let the health insurance program that protects children of all ages expire. By 16 weeks (4 months)

Useless legislation! How many of these 20 week abortions happen in a year? Your making it harder for women to get medical care, and taking choice away from a woman and her body. You become pregnant first, and then dictate policy!

Have you ever met any of these 'normal lives' children when the mother miscarried that soon?

Any anti-abortion law needs to have exceptions for medical (i.e. the life of the mother), rape, and incest. Please at the very least ask for these exceptions to be included before voting yes. I would request a no on such a bill in either case.

It’s a step in the right direction. The heartbeat bill is most appropriate.

But what about in the case of Rape?? Should a woman have all the time she needs to make a decision ??

Not if they are badly deformed and will die. And that certainly does nothing to protect the children already in that family.

Talk to us about saving the unborn after you have done something to protect the children that are born instead of ignoring their health, educational and shelter needs and not voted continually against programs that provide for women's contraceptive needs.

what doctors would do this? how many? and are you just looking at the 'abortion' on the death certificate? No doctor in his right mind would tell a woman that her still born baby was aborted, yet has to put that on the COD because they don't want to admit they did anything wrong.

What are you going to do to help children who need healthcare AFTER they are born? They feel pain then too. If you won't help them then, you aren't pro-life, you just pro-birth. Get em here and THEN let em suffer.
