The Senate's #TaxReform plan would grow the economy by 3.7 percent and create nearly 1 million new jobs across the nation. Here's how it would impact Alabama:pic.twitter.com/SWIRK0kQ0J

The biggest industry in Jefferson County is health care. If the #TaxReform plan cuts Medicaid and leaves more people without insurance coverage, how many layoffs do you expect would have to follow?

How much more will we pay for health care, education, public arts, housing, and all the other things that this unnecessary give away to the richest Americans costs us? Not to mention the 1.5T added to the deficit.

But it blows up the deficit. Be like Ike. Eisenhower hated taxes, but refused to blindly cut them because it blew up the deficit. It's the only responsible choice.

For every 1% point you want reduce the corporate tax rate it costs the taxpayers $100 billion. This isn’t about creating jobs or raising wages. Just another Wall Street handout. Invest $1.5 trillion into infrastructure and you’ll explode GDP and job growth

Of course, you still haven’t told the Citizens of Alabama how they will be able to afford their health care, since today’s proposal will rip it out from under them. Why are you taking Health Care away from the wonderful people of Alabama?

Middle class Seniors are left out! We are paying taxes on our soc sec that is taxed using taxing thresholds from 1983. We are losing the extra exemp for being 65, personal exemp deduction, and the medical deduction for out of pocket medical expenses. We Vote in the elections!

total bull, @SenShelby all it is a payoff for the rich donors. Most of us won't see anything except a tax increase and then you are trying to strip out health care. Shame on you for thinking we are dumb enough to fall for it.

And please enlighten Alabama as to how you justify $25 BILLION in cuts to Medicare in 2018 alone – an EARNED BENEFIT? #GOPTaxScam #LiarLiarpic.twitter.com/sYKu6PlMPM
