Once again, insurers are explicitly saying that absent GOP sabotage, rates would be lower & health insurance much more affordable for Vermont families. http://ratereview.vermont.gov/rate_review_process …pic.twitter.com/xCbL3lpz3S

The truth is that rates did not need to be this high in VT, but the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress are so hell-bent on undermining our healthcare system to the detriment of middle-class families.

Unfortunately, instead of working in a bipartisan fashion to improve our healthcare system, Republicans have chosen to take full ownership of rising healthcare costs by actively making the problem worse.

My Heath insurance was $246 before Obamacare. $700 deductable. $5 brand name $2 generics. It paid 100% of expenses after the deductible. After 3 year of Obama care it Rose to almost $600 $3600 deductible, and only covered 60% I quit when I was told it was rising to $616 a month

More lies & twisting by Cryin Chuck Let me translate it 4 reg ppl. Bcuz GOP removed the 2% tax on insurers we cd hv reduced rates, but bcuz less ppl will opt 2 buy insurance in order 2 not be taxed by the feds we wont lower it. Either way still dramatically up than b4 ACA existed

Or even better said, speaking in my best Cryin Chuck voice. “Health insurance in VT will remain at or near the all time highs created by ObamaCare which I still 100% support the same as when I voted for it.”

Was this you actually sending this tweet Chucky? Under Obama a lot of states were losing out to one insurer only. And rates went up as much as 200%. You were betting that the healthy people would support the plan via the tax penalty. It was a unfair practice.

Im sure it had nothing to do with the GOP sabotaging the ACA and the delusion that insurance companies are going to compete to spend money on sick people.

The GOP sabotaging it. Before the ACA I was paying $180 for a %250 individual deductable for my whole family. After I'm paying $800 for a $1200 individual deductible. This is way before the mandate was removed.

Yeah man. Insurance costs have been going up for as long as there has been insurance. You know that, right? The ACA slowed it for awhile until the GOP cut the funding out from it.

So you are telling the the increase of insurance fro. $180-$800/month after the ACA was signed into law was natural but you want to blame a 2.2% increase to a cut in funding.
