Is this one of those presumptuous “join the NRA, but we draft it like you are already a member of the NRA” letters?

I'll bet it is. We got one in our mail this week and we have never, ever asked about membership. Ick.
-
It’s also how they inflate their membership numbers. Some ranges have a partnership where you are signed up for a membership just for shooting there. Gun stores also share their customer data for automatic membership signups.

We got the same NRA membership application and letter also even though we are registered Democrats who hate the NRA! My husband's response wasn't as polite as yours! LOL

I wonder if my cousins have received their emails from this terrorist organization? They left it in 1990. I hear it's hard up for cash.
-
You must have missed the record numbers they've achieved. So i guess you heard wrong
-
They're sending letters out to those who've left. That's not what cash-rich industry lobbyists do.
-
They sent one to me - I've never ever, even while drunk off my ass, considered joining that organization.
-
Still sales 101. I'm worried about y'all, I though everyone knew that's how you progress, reach out to people. Smh
-
Why would a lobbying organization that is as popular as the NRA claimes to be need to use "sales tactics" to attract new members?
-
Because that's is how any organization progresses. Just like every other organization out there.
-
What do you mean by "progresses"?
