Let’s call this like it is: the census, written about and hallowed in the Constitution, is being distorted by this administration for political purposes. President Trump and Secretary Ross should be ashamed of themselves. Hopefully the courts will correct this glaring abuse.https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/978484161773174789 …

Just because Obama dropped the question from the census during his term for political purposes, doesn't mean that it will not return to its rightful place on the census Chuckles. #VoterID

Ummm, actually it is accurate. The long census included the question as recently as 2000, which is why these lefty whimpers will net nothing. #VoterID

Also the long form was replaced in 2005 (under Bush) with the ACS. So again.... not Obama.

The question will be included because there is nothing wrong with the question being included. This is common sense.

So you find out you’re wrong and change your tactic. Lovely. I was born in the US and am a US citizen. I will not answer this question if it is on the census. #RefuseToAnswer

Let's tell the truth House of Representatives is apportioned among the states by population, as determined by the census conducted every ten years. population is understood to be of citizens Not illegals. This is why Democrats are opposed #TuesdayThoughts @SenateFloor

Unless you're arguing that "persons" only refers to citizens, I don't get your argument. You have actually read the Constitution, right?

Exactly the left is colluding with foreign nationals to build representation within the house based on census data.

I think you'll find that southern slave owning states wanted more representation so they argued for more inclusive language that counted slaves. But you do you.

I think it's more "obeying the constitution" than Democrats having a specific goal. If by asking the question it gives an inaccurate count of persons, then you aren't following the spirit of the constitution. By all means, campaign for an amendment.
