Haha. Can’t vote for 15-20 years. Is that the “ new” America they want? Become a citizen but don’t vote cause you might vote me out of office.
I call BS.

It is BS, but I'd take the deal in a heartbeat. All illegal immigrants could come out and not be exploited, be able to collect on the SS they paid, buy houses, get driver's licenses and not live in fear. It only improves the situation.
-
The problem with this is......if you take this BS deal, they win. It’s what they want. It’s unAmercan. It’s not what America stands for.
-
Maybe issue them resident alien cards they can't vote for 5 years and then become citizens. Residency allows them to get DL & SS
-
The problem is about satisfying a group of Americans who don't want any pathway to citizenship and would prefer to have all deported.
-
Yep and I think this group is what drove Trump to the presidency and of course with Russia's bot armies & money

Makes sense that Fox News would have a guy who subliminally promotes

Not subliminally, out in the open. In our faces.

This is a horrific idea & the fact that you would post it is troubling. The US should not legislate 2nd class citizenship - we’ve been down that road too many times & many are still fighting for full recognition of their rights without the government codifying disenfranchisement

So it's not that illegal immigrants are terrorists, drug dealers, rapists, stealing jobs or any of the other lies
@realDonaldTrump and GOP have been telling us? The real problem is they're potential voters that they don't think they can count on? -
You got it. Statistically they were less likely to be/do any of those things. The funny thing is that most of the Muslim people I know are more conservative and they could have made up for shrinking populations in the GOP.

The real problem is that the crooked GOP can’t be trusted. They say 15 to 25 years, then about 12 years in, they change the rules and move the finish line.
-
Crooked GOP? Ok news flash, the politicians on the left don’t care about their voters, they care about votes, period. Argue all you want, but these folks flip flop like a slinky on crack. Before you say same on GOP, it’s supposed to be about limiting government. Not growing it

One problem: limited citizenship is racist. And not making people citizens because of assumption about how they will vote is abhorrent. What is wrong with you? Party leaders need to do much, much better than this!!

Wouldn’t this also create a sub-class of citizen? Seems pretty un-American to me.
-
Republicans are never happy unless there are people to look down on in society.
-
Not sure I’d tar the entire party with that same brush, but it does seem to be the dominating theory in the
@GOP these days. -
That was meant with a capital "R". I know there's a lot of rank-and-file republicans that are horrified by what the Party has become. It's just unfortunate that they appear to be in the extreme minority.
