Trump did not ask elderly Americans how they feel about the huge cuts he is is planning to enact to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. He just does what he wants. NOW, Chuck...READ the damn Democratic Rebuttal memo on the floor!!! What are you folks waiting for? Christmas?

Please,
@SenSchumer , don't allow this. Please. -
If
@TheDemocrats cannot kill this thing in committee then it should be filibustered by@SenateDems to the very end.@NancyPelosi will need to use her Minority Speaker power for another marathon speech. Remind older voters, who lean@GOP generally, that their Medicare is at risk. -
The poor working white people the
@GOP claim to champion will have their Medicaid cut. Without liberal wage legislation, they will be unable to compensate for the financial burden shifted onto them. Blue voters know what is at stake. Red voters need to be awakened to the risks.

Older Americans have zero resources to give up and the govt should not be allowed to touch Medicare or Social Security Trust Funds; these programs are not funded from the general tax revenues they have their own payroll deductions for supprt

So true and yet 95% of the people I personally know over the age of 65 voted for Trump. Why is that?
-
Because they are from a generation of trust and faith in others. I didn't get this old by being stupid and learned a long time ago that politicians are not overly trustworthy in general.pic.twitter.com/oV63lmbZUu
-
I disagree on your percentages as I am over 65 and know many others that were never Trumpers and even some who were & are no longer in his camp those that are educated especially but This overall age group is going to abandon Trump because he is going after Medicare/Soc Security
-
And if you include the disabled under 65, like me, you have many, many more who will fight tooth & nail to keep our benefits, including voting out every Republican we possibly can.
-
Cindy my wife was disabled from 1992 until her death in 2007 and we could not have made ends meet without the benefits
-
So sorry to hear about your experience.
It's horrible what disability does to entire families.
