Dear Senator Schumer, As a constituent on Kentucky, I am BEGGING you to not trust anything Mitch McConnell says. He consistently votes against funding for programs that help a huge number of Kentuckians. Please don't trust him. Sincerely, A Kentuckian

Another Kentuckian here......I second your motion to never trust McC.

Guess your DNA lack intellect! Both parties want immigration and DACA reform, you dont put it in a funding bill!
-
Awww, it's a newly born troll. Remember practice makes perfect!

Russian bot alert. Look at the

Report him too!

I used to tweet every few days asking
@TwitterSupport to add a 'suspected Russian bot' option to their report form. They didn't listen. Now I just want a edit button.

They always cave. Always.
-
I know. It's frustrating.
-
It makes you really wish for a viable third party.
-
Viable is the problem.
-
Yes and both parties know it.

If you trust the same people who pulled the Gorsuch swindle then you're not up to the task of handling this.
-
McConnell knew that the Democrats would cave and he also knows he doesn't have to honor any loose agreement later, because guess what? He's dealing with Democrats.
-
Funding runs out in 3 weeks - that should sharpen his resolve. DACA has enough votes to pass, has broad support, it's political suicide at this point to put it off. Still has to pass house and be signed though.
-
I know you are right, in theory. I've just stopped believing in the integrity of the whole process given the players involved.
-
It's easy to lose faith, but the glaring difference between the two sides (as an outsider from europe) is that looking at dem policies, they genuinely care about people - but have to make compromises in the face of intransigence. The GOP just care about their donors and base.
-
I just want to break the cycle. Everything ends this way. If they are going to cave, there's no point in pretending to fight. Republicans won't ever learn to compromise if they always get what they want.
-
That's what I fear happens here. GOP gets wall, immigration restrictions, and numerous concessions just to pass watered down DACA which of course GOP will also take credit for. Dems' good faith gets thrown in their faces.
-
Senator Kennedy from Louisiana is already tamping down expectations of a clean DACA bill, just a few hours after this ragtag agreement with McConnell was reached. I'm extremely skeptical there's a winning solution for Democrats here.
