Oh sweet
@SenSchumer ...please, how is this any ones fault. I remember sandy coming through my neck of the woods. Seems all in NJ aren't done yet either. Natural Disasters happen, three all at once is a hard call. Puerto Rico's infrastructure was crap before the hurricane hit!!!! -
Christie took years to pay the Federal$$ from that storm. Corp.'s got most of it.. Puerto Rico wasn't updated w/infrastructure, then Zinke's "friend" the CEO of Whitefish got the 300 Billion contract, with 2 employees.=FRAUD by GOP!

I bet the most incompetent, ignorant, and vindictive administration in U.S. history didn’t make that same mistake for Texas and Florida.
-
There are no news updates on either location, so we aren't aware of their conditions.

Still cleaning up in Florida. Hurricane relief is cost shared between state & Fed. PR needs special rules, they don’t have their share. We also pay monthly on our powe bill towards a hurricane relief fund. Our power co had that money to hired help from other states to come here.

If you're asking the government to get this fixed these poor people have a lot more suffering to go through.
-
Our government is very weak concerning all of our issues. We are a rich country and there should never be a problem helping the people in need.

And, the House tax reform package *helpfully* slaps a 20% tax on imports from PR. Gonna do wonders to economic recovery... Pfft!

This is A BIG MISTAKE! And considering the "trash" talk we listen to everyday from Congress & WH, it is so wrong to not listen to Puerto Rico. Thank you Chuck Schumer!

The real estate developers must be chomping at the bit to buy up destroyed properties so they can erect incredible resorts for the wealthy. It's a scam of incredible proportions. Why else wouldn't adequate funds be made available?
