Tomorrow, the Senate will take up a Democratic motion to repeal the Trump administration’s effort to expand short-term insurance plans. Let me be very clear: these so-called “short-term” plans are junk insurance. #NoJunkPlans

Even worse, these plans draw consumers out of the health insurance marketplace, making it more expensive for everyone to purchase insurance, especially more expensive for those with a pre-existing condition.
#NoJunkPlansShow this thread -
Ever since taking control of Congress and the presidency, Republicans have deliberately and relentlessly undermined Americans’ health care.
#NoJunkPlansShow this thread -
As a result of Republican sabotage: premiums are up, out-of-pocket costs are up, prescription drug costs are up, and insurance is covering less.
#NoJunkPlansShow this thread -
Under this Republican President and this Republican Congress, Americans are paying more to get less health insurance, and protections for pre-existing conditions are under assault.

Tomorrow, the Senate will have an opportunity to undo a portion of the Republican campaign of health care sabotage.

Hey, guess what!! I don't need maternity, mental health, and I have one prescription that costs $11 a month. LET ME SEE THE "JUNK" PLAN!!! I don't trust you to tell the truth about it. You are a known deceiver.
-
I don’t need maternity care either but I’ve got it. However, my kid needs asthma meds & EPI-Pens yet they aren’t covered under my ACA plan until my $6750/13500 deductible is met.

-
Same here- I had to pay for my epi pen out of pocket. Im allergic to bees. Too expensive. Mine are expired now, and too expensive to replace so I took my chances this year.
-
I’m sorry. My little one is allergic to peanuts, all nuts except cashews and almonds, and shellfish. I have to have 4. 2 for us and 2 for his school.

Obamacare you Dems locked the door and refused to let the Republicans in until AFTER you voted. Don't stand there today acting all pious. You Dems refuse to work with the Republicans on anything why the HELL are you in DC collecting a paycheck?

Obviously you are so out of touch with reality that you don’t understand the deductibles are so high on Obamacare it’s like having no insurance at all. That’s why Americans were paying the penalty. Finally we have a president that understands this and is giving us what we need

And what was Obamacare but "Junk Insurance?" Drove up costs for most people, with deductibles so high it was virtually WORTHLESS. That's the definition of "JUNK." And let's not forget Pelosi passed it without ever having read the bill!

I’m a young man whose mental health is fine, who doesn’t need prescription drugs, and (needless to say) will never give birth. Sounds like a good plan to me. Maybe you should stop trying to force people like me to buy plans that we don’t need or want, you disgusting leftist rat.

I don't need maternity insurance. Why be forced to pay for it?

I don't want to pay for maternity, mental health care, or prescription drugs. If I wanted that, I'll buy a policy that pays for one or all of those. Why do Democrats feel it's okay to FORCE people to shell out our money for things we don't want or need?

You would see how fast this would stop if Trump and his family had the same coverage.

There are people out there that would prefer a major medical insurance plan. They are healthy, don't need physicals every year, willing to pay out of pocket for dr visits, RX's because it is cheaper than a higher premium insurance that would cover additional services.
